Kevin Matthews is the reason why I’m doing what I’m (still) doing in radio broadcasting. His time at WLUP in Chicago is legendary to “Kev-Heads” around the Midwest and beyond. It wasn’t just Kevin either - it was also sports announcer “Jim Shorts”, Darnell, Devon, Ronald Reagan, Elvis, Pee Wee Herman, and a cast of others, all flowing out of the mouth and brain of Kevin. Kevin has written a book called “Broken Mary” that has given him a much different perspective on life. Pardon me while I geek out talking to my hero, Kevin Matthews.
