Simon Brown founder of JustOneLap, a free online university that aims to help South Africans learn the basics of personal finance and the world of investing. He writes a couple weekly columns for FinWeek including "Simon Says” where he shares his thoughts on the local investment environment. He’s also a co-host of “The Week That Was”, a weekly television show that airs every Friday at 17:30 and repeats at 19:30.

Brown got his start in investing when his grandfather was teaching him about business as a young boy in KZN. He’s been a market participant since then and he has never stopped investing for the long-term. His process includes buying blue chip businesses directly as well as ETFs which track certain industries or bourses.
