Teaching Outline

Pt 1. The Worst Enemy

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me."

Matthew 28:18

"For He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin."

Colossians 1:13

  • rescued lit. translates to "to draw/bring to one's self"
  • the forgiveness of "sin" is not only the passive relinquishment from wrong doing, but the total union with Jesus' life and ALL His benefits (holiness, authority, faith, connection, freedom, etc.)
  • Pt 2. Agreements

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in in salvation."

    Romans 10:9-10

"Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?"

    Amos 3:3

"Or what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God."

    2 Corinthians 6:16

"Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."

    Matthew 18:19

    Pt. 3 Discernment

    1 Corinthians 12:10

Philippians 1:9 (different word than above)

Discernment is not the progression of learning every kind of torment/demon (though that may happen). It is the deepening of your intimacy with and sensitivity to the affections of God

The challenge is not to become "more powerful" (YOU ARE ONE WITH CHRIST). It's to become more intimately aware of Truth

    Pt. 4 Effective Prayer

"Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? you should call for the elders of the church to come pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and prayer for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years. Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops."

    James 5:13-18 (NLT)

    • prayed earnestly lit. proseuchomai proseuchae prayed with prayer to God
      • this translation is not to emphasize the intensity or emotion behind the prayer, but the sincerity
      • Pt. 5 Deliverance/Principalities (regional agreements)

        • principalities do not come down over night
        • corporate mindsets
        • Pt. 6 Building Identity

(those that build identity around being too hard to transform)

Pt. 7  Not Impressed but Obsessed
