Rick George has been the Athletic Director at the University of Colorado Boulder since 2013, but he’s had a long history in sports. Before Colorado, he was the chief operating officer of the Texas Ranger’s baseball club. And before the Texas Ranger’s, he was the vice president and chief of operations for the PGA tour and president of the Champion’s Tour. He was also the first person to hear the words "we coming" from Coach Prime, and you bet your ass we got that story for you. He’s held many important roles in many important sports organizations and I’m sure I’m even missing a few, but today, we’re here to understand — what is the recipe to having a successful career, learning lessons from your mistakes, the important of pivoting, and tips for young people who want to do what they love.
