This episode is an introduction to the periodontium and will review the basic components of the periodontium and gingival unit. Review of terminology associated with the periodontium will be covered in addition to the attachment apparatus. The information covered in this episode will provide the listener with just enough of the basics of the periodontium and gingival unit to be able to complete periodontal charting and gingival assessment activities in the clinical setting.
