I can't believe it, but I have been a graphic designer for nearly 20 years! I started out in college, later opened my own company and now I use it nearly every single day in my own business. 

Oftentimes I have friends and business partners come to me and say 'I wish I could design as well as you!'. Now I kindly remind them that I have been doing this for a couple decades but then simply encourage them to keep working at it! I truly don't believe someone needs a degree in graphic design to learn the steps to create graphics for their own business.
