Bellefonte is a ghost town in Jackson County, Alabama, United States,near the site of the Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station. It is located roughly two miles southeast of Hollywood, Alabama. In ante-bellum days, and in fact up to 1868, Bellefonte was the capital, the pride and glory of Jackson County. It is now a ghost town.
