A laser-focused interest in the nature and process of politics and the art of being a great bartender gives Casey Pease a unique set of skills in his area of work. Having run for statewide office before the age of 21, while also working all aspects of various campaigns, he's grown up professionally in a world that truly provides insight into human nature. Today, he now is working full-time for the state senator he helped get elected in 2022, Paul Mark. In this interview, recorded just after the election, we cover a great deal of ground, including: his niche as a bartender and his own side business he has created, his favorite and least favorite drinks to make, craft cocktails, the night scene in the Berkshires and in Pittsfield, the basic framework for political campaigns, knocking doors in a campaign, the impact of national politics on local and state politics, the reduction of local and statewide news coverage, finding commonalities among constituents and more.
I hope you'll enjoy my conversation with Casey Pease.
