#71: Fiddler's Green

Listen Later

A light Cru present tales of the sailor's paradise.  Stories include a meditation on Fiddler's Green (and what you may have to do to get there); a resident's musings; and a remembrance.
From Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable:
Fiddler’s Green. The happy land imagined by sailors where there is perpetual mirth, a fiddle that never stops playing for dancers who never tire, plenty of GROG and unlimited tobacco.
Stories begin around the 10:30 mark.
