Andrew Kehoe was a farmer and known for being intelligent, quick tempered and well dressed. But Andrew was also known for not liking anyone who disagreed with him and having a huge issue with the new increased property tax put on landowners to help pay for the new school facility, it seemed odd when Andrew was elected treasurer of the school board. But he served, and also helped do handyman work around the school once it was opened.

By 1927, Andrew was in debt and his wife was in and out of the hospital for tuberculous treatment. But Andrew wasn’t worried, he had a plan and in mid-May, the rest of the town found out what Andrew had been up to for the last few months, when two explosions occurred at almost the same time.
