We are embarking on the second half of our trip and cannot believe how much we have packed into the first half. While the days seem to go by quickly, overall it feels as if we have been gone for months. I was particularly excited about traveling to Isle of Skye. AND let me tell you that the views and drive to get to Isle of Skye (or as the locals just call it Skye) did not disappoint. This is the Scotland weather that we were expecting. The first time on the trip that I got cold. I had dressed in fall weather clothing all of the other days and finally decided to pull out an athletic dress to wear on the coldest/rainiest day that we has on the whole trip. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to do most of the outdoor/hiking activities we had planned so Skye is definitely an area that we have to travel back to. After our hotel debacle we were able to stay in an incredibly beautiful castle-like bed and breakfast our only night in Skye. We then headed to Stirling where we had an equally beautiful place to stay while we spent our last two days before heading back to Edinburgh for a few days. We visited the William Wallace Monument and had tea on the Fingal. Catch us back here next week for Edinburgh part 2!
