What?! Say it ain't so! You mean the government, OUR government lied about Asad using chemical weapons to manufacture a crime they could use to justify military action in Syria? In a word...yup.
It should come as no surprise given our governments track record of playing fast and loose with the truth and now General Mattis, the Secretary of Defense has admitted that he has no hard evidence Asad used chemical weapons on his people. A fact many in the international community have been claiming since the accusations were made.
What's the moral of this news story? Don't trust anything your government tells you. They either want your money or your liberty and most of the time they're the same thing.

When did conservatives stop being conservative? The better question is, "when were they ever?"
The massive deficit inflating spending bill passed the house and the Senate last week and was quickly signed by a giddy president. Only 67 Republicans voted against it.
The truth is, neither political party wants to cut spending. They all want power, and there is power in controlling the money.
