The Good Shepherd demonstrates he is our Great Shepherd as he shows compassion for his harassed and helpless sheep. Jesus brings us what we need most—not just physical help and healing, but the help and healing of his Word. With that Word, he, then, equips us to serve him with thankful hearts, seeking out those sheep that continue to be lost in sin and unbelief and straying from his flock.
