This week on Behind the Roar, proudly brought to you by Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA), Kezie Apps is joined by two of her Wests Tigers NRLW teammates, Montana Clifford and Evie McGrath, for an episode full of laughs, insight and reflection as they gear up for Round 1.

The duo open up on their journeys to Wests Tigers, from childhood in regional and suburban NSW, to debuting in the NRLW. Clifford shares how she left home straight out of school to chase the rugby league dream on the Gold Coast, while McGrath reflects on her South Coast roots and watching Kezie on TV before eventually running out beside her as a Tiger.

They dive deep into the club’s culture, the importance of connection, and the impact of preseason; including a brutal training camp that tested the squad mentally and physically.

Both players also name the teammates who have inspired them most in recent months, and reflect on the pride of taking part in a powerful cultural night hosted by the club.
