Video games are part of everyday life for people all over the world. In the media, games are often criticized as being addictive, promoting violence and simply being a waste of time. But what if games could be used for positive, important learning?
Research finds that games teach us a wide variety of skills and have the potential to be effective educational tools. Despite this, educational video games are often shallow, lacking in gameplay and storyline, and most importantly – they are no fun to play! So why are educational video games so boring?
