We are all pretty complicated creatures. We inhabit a lot of different roles in our lives and all of them play a part in who we are. The same is true for Jesus. Over the next five weeks, we're going to look at some of the ways people understood Jesus in his world so that we can better understand who Jesus is for our world.

 

This week we're starting with the most common way Jesus is described by others in Mark's gospel, the way many people who came into contact with Jesus experienced him. It's an important piece of his identity and an important part of our identity as his church.
