My mother, Leslye Layne Russell, was a poet and true creative spirit. She passed away before she published her poetry, and in the months prior to her death, I promised to publish and share her work. Here it is!!!
A book, audio book, and other trinkets of delight are coming soon!
82 Days of Poetry has been created with honor and deep respect for my mom, and all these poems were written and compiled prior to her passing in 2018. I am simply reading her poetic lines! We, as a family, own and reserve the rights to her amazing work.
"Owl" is a blessing of a poem that tells of a mystical dream and the waking from it. Do you dream? Would you like to? The owl of this poem awaits you.

This episode is appropriate for all audiences!!! That being said, if you are a minor, here is a special message for you...
Young Audiences - This episode was created with all ages in mind. In general, if there is ever a topic that feels triggering or that you have more questions about, reach out to a safe and caring adult. It is important to talk about the serious things in life and to have loving people available to do so.
Poetry is an age old tradition and, in the way of knowledge, simply points to truths about life. Still, for anyone under 18 years old, adult supervision is required. Thank you for understanding!

Thanks to my wonderful sound editor, Ferrara. She can be contacted at [email protected].
I am also grateful for my amazing website designer, Abby Kojola at kojolapower.com.
Deep appreciation goes out to my late mother & very much alive stepfather who collaborated on and performed the outro music. Check out the album, My Oh My, for the full song, May Your Dreams Draw You Gently.
The intro music is my mother's voice singing a chant she wrote in the 70's. All rights reserved.
