I have a love/hate relationship with discomfort. I hate it because it’s uncomfortable but I love it because it means I’m growing. Maybe ‘love’ is too strong of a word but I do appreciate discomfort.
My mentor, Brooke Castillo says discomfort is the currency of your dreams. You have to pay the price of being uncomfortable in order to get what you want. When you start to see discomfort as an acknowledgement you’re taking a bit of a risk, as an indication that you’re growing and realize it shows up when you’re stepping outside of your comfort zone, your relationship with it will change. Your perspective of discomfort will shift from something that is ‘bad’ to something that is ‘good.’
Think about it … if you were ‘willing’ to be uncomfortable, what would change? What could you accomplish if being uncomfortable didn’t mean something was wrong, it meant you were actually doing it right?
That's what I'm talking about in this episode, The Upside of Being Uncomfortable. After listening to it you'll never look at discomfort the same way again. 😉

About the host:
Hi, friend! My name is Pamela Hughes and I’m a former talk show host turned life coach. After 20 years in the news business, I walked away from what people thought I should do and I did what I wanted to do … coach people who are stuck like I was and help them find relief, awareness and control within themselves.
This was no easy task and I’m not here telling you it was. I had to take full responsibility for where my life was and then decide where I wanted it to go. It was time to stop complaining about my situation and do something about it. I had to stop looking for others to validate me and start having my own back. This required looking inside myself for the answers instead of looking outside of me.
I told you it wasn’t easy … but I wouldn’t change one thing about my journey because it led me right here to you reading about it, maybe identifying with aspects of it and hopefully being inspired to get UNSTUCK.
