In 1957, an alien named Valiant Thor came to Earth with a clear mission: to bring about world peace, cure all known diseases, and end world hunger. All he asked in return was that we give up our nukes. Or at least, what Dr. Frank E. Stranges claims in his (allegedly) non-fiction book Stranger at the Pentagon. 

Today, we’re digging into a wildly audacious story featuring a Jimmy Stewart-looking telepathic alien, multiple assassination attempts, and the king of unreliable narrators. Was Valiant Thor real?
