Rick Sanchez welcomes show producer Scotty Mednick to discuss the dangers of group thinking and the importance of self-awareness and accountability.  They agree that it’s ok to take a position and be passionate about it as long as you are clearly aware of your own values and don’t get trapped into group thinking.  Don’t buy into other people’s baggage or biases, concentrate on your own situation and the issues that matter most to you.  Sanchez concludes that the secrets to being more self-aware are finding out who you are before joining a group, allowing yourself to evolve, don’t live in the past, and being accountable.  Having a mob mentality is dangerous because it can lead to poor decisions and regrettable actions.
