Mr. Gray’s Class Podcast

Reader’s Workshop

We continue our deep study of character unit. We will consider the pressures exerted on characters and take a quiz on what we’ve studied so far on Thursday.

Writer’s Workshop

The kids will begin our 6th grade writing unit: The Literary Essay. The kids will  use the planning documents from last week to begin to write an essay related to the texts they are reading.

Math

What happened to math class?

We will continue our expressions and equations unit. We study algebraic expressions and how to interpret them.

Also, the kids will take a test that all 6th graders in the district take on Wednesday. This will be a review of many of the concepts we have studied so far this year. The results will not be a part of our gradebook.

History

The kids will continue the study of Ancient India, specifically, society and the caste system in Ancient India.

Science

The kids will work with Miss Stevens in science lab.
