75 – Sura al Baqara 252 – 254 – Seekers Complete Quran Tafsir – Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat
Are all the Prophets honored and exalted equally by Allah Most High? In this podcast, Shaykh Abdul Rahim Reasat expounds on these verses of Sura al Baqara explaining that the honorable messengers, notwithstanding their high rank, do not all enjoy the same degree of honor. In fact, Allah Almighty has exalted some above others. To some He spoke directly; others He raised to a lofty status, such as the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace) who occupies the highest position amongst the messengers.
The verses go on to describe how the succeeding generations have contended among themselves and fought one another after Allah’s manifest signs and proofs had come revealed the truth to them. Finally, Shaykh Abdul Rahim explains the instructions within these verses for those who have adopted the cause of the true faith to undertake financial sacrifices for its sake.
