If someone says something that upsets you and you just can't stop thinking about it, put the comment through the filter of True, Not True, Maybe True.

 

If you get really defensive when someone offers you feedback, this is going to help you.

 

If you tend to own everything everyone says to you and beat yourself up for it, this will help you.

 

After the break, you'll hear from my 19 year old son Anthony.  He asked if he could be on the podcast.  So I said yes.  There's really no point to this.  Although he offers his two cents on how parents and students can embrace the college transition.
