Welcome to Season 3! The Cru has expanded and, for the first time ever, comes to you with full a full Cru including Spud and PC (they've drunk the kool aid for real, folks). We catch you up on our summers before swinging into the writing and reading. Stories this week begin around the 19 minute mark and include a girl who wishes she had superpowers; riffing like Kerouac; a wee beasty, unleashed; a letter (with an unhappy recipient); a budding friendship; and a story in the vein of Gaslight. 
From Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable:
Bête noire (French, 'black beast'). A pet aversion; the thing one dislikes or fears. Black animals are often regarded with ill favour. A BLACK SHEEP is an unwelcome oddity, and a black cat crossing one's path brings bad luck. Black generally is also the colour of the Devil.
