Rick Sanchez breaks down the major differences between the ways we used to get the news before and the insane over-the-top deluge of information and opinions that we are bombarded with in today’s toxic news environment.  Back in the day, Americans would get their news for only 30 minutes a day or they would simply read a newspaper at their leisure.  Today, the 24-hour news cycle combined with social media does nothing but incite people and add fuel to the fire.  It’s not the message, but rather the messaging that has everybody feeling a little insane these days.  Sanchez affirms that we need to stay focused on our values, not sweat the small stuff, and learn to filter out the minutia.
