In this episode, I talk with physician spouse and real estate agent Mikki Ramey about the challenges and benefits of buying and selling homes during medical training.
I have also written an in depth blog post this week showing various opinions on this important question.
About Mikki:
The Mikki Ramey team is in the top 1% for sales in Charleston (14 out of 4100 agents) and is composed of Mikki Ramey, Abby Hartman, Shannon Jones, and Paige O'Dell. Mikki has appeared on HGTV National Open House, and also has been featured in HGTV Magazine. She has been recognized by Charleston Moms as the “best real estate agent in Charleston” by Lowcountry Parent’s Magazine. In addition, Trulia picked her as one of the 1% of agents in the country with the 2014 Be st of Trulia Top Agent Award.
Mikki Ramey is the broker in charge for Healthy Realty and has served the Charleston area for over ten years. She has been recognized for her excellence in real estate as an East Cooper Top Producer and a Realtor of Distinction. Mikki is also certified as a Short Sale and Foreclosure specialist. She received a B.A. from Furman University and an M.Ed. in school counseling from the Citadel. She is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina and is a member of the National Association of Realtors. Education is Mikki’s first love, which serves her clients well in the real estate world. She taught in Charleston County (Nativity Catholic and Orange Grove Elementary) for four years and knows the area schools. In addition, she was a high school guidance counselor. As a realtor, she gives real estate lectures to students, residents, dentists, and doctors at the Medical University of South Carolina. In her free time, she loves playing tennis with her 4 kids and is very active at the Daniel Island Fellowship. She has participated in medical mission trips to Ecuador and Nicaragua in the past.
