James 1:22 "But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]."

You prove yourself by being a doer of the Word.

Some people move about life and things happen to them, they respond to things and they say words. But Doers are marked by having a Word that they carry before they move. Their moves are calculated and they are blessed + favored by God.
