The Sports Bubble has discussions with the talented people having fantastic experiences and doing amazing things in the sports industry.
In today’s guest episode, we finish off our Olympic-themed month with a bang and speak with the Head of Games Operations and Sports Services at the Australian Olympic Committee, Luke Pellegrini. Luke joins us from quarantine in Australia after having traveled back from Tokyo for the Olympic Games. After having a career in the legal world, Luke transferred into the sports industry after moving to Sydney and completing a Masters in Sports Business. Prior to his involvement at the AOC, Luke made contributions at AFL SportsReady as a State Manager and SRi as a Senior Consultant.
We ask Luke about his involvement in this year's Tokyo Olympics and get the inside goss on what it was like to be on the ground at the Games. We also touch on his transition from corporate life into the sports industry and his motivations behind this, his leadership approach and the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
