A 79-year-old 79-year-old elderly woman of color in Florida was jailed unnecessarily. For insurance fraud back in 2017. She was taken into custody not allowed to carry her medicine. And she’s a diabetic she can get around by walker only. And she was taken into custody. No other options were given. She had to go to jail and appear in court. It’s ridiculous that she was put through this. The attorney general in Florida or the state attorney wanted to make an example plain and simple. This wasn’t justice this was him exercising his power and stroking his ego. It is absolutely ridiculous.
