Kate Had Me Meet... Becki Pederson
Earlier this week, another life was lost in an officer involved shooting. Daunte Wright was shot and killed by Officer Kimberly Potter in Brooklyn Center, MN.
The next day, I interviewed former Bemidji, MN police officer Becki Pederson to get her perspective on Daunte's story, her own officer involved shooting, and policing in general.
We spoke for nearly 2 hours. We both struggled with wanting the content to serve listeners.... was this the right time? After the edit process, I assured her that I believed it was exactly the right time.
