Today on Truth in the Morning, Homer Blow and Dame Ellzey speak to Alderman Mark Chambers Jr. about the murder of his 16-year-old nephew Marquis Champion and arrest of the suspect who was finally captured in Oklahoma last night. They discuss how Chambers' family reacted to the news, how they are healing, and what they expect moving forward in and out of court. Later Dame and Homer take a deep dive into grief. They speak about their own experiences processing and managing grief, the impact of this human emotion and how we as a community can grow together. They are also joined by two grief counselors Quinn and Julian, from the Office of Community Wellness and Safety who share information on the resources the city offers to those who are grieving.
