Stop 8 on the NUI Galway Biodiversity trail is at the reed beds which can be seen between the river path and the river. We discuss the plants and insects that make this special habitat their home. Dr John Carey (Applied Ecology Unity) introduces some of the birds found in the area, while Dr Martin Gammell (GMIT) talks about caddisflies and how they reproduce.
