It was November 30th, 1984, when Candace was last seen walking home from her school Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute, in Winnipeg, Canada. She had called to ask her mother for a ride home but was told to walk. When she never made it home that evening, her family was hoping she had run away and was trying to teach them a lesson. However as the days passed, her sudden and unexplained vanishing set off a wave of fear and uncertainty in the community. Seven weeks after Candace disappeared, her frozen body is found in a shed, less than 500 meters from her house.
