Gillian Rose couldn't quite find her calling as she went down the traditional path while also fighting her ongoing battle with depression. Her imperfect journey led to her dropping out of college and trying out a handful of odd jobs including working at a music store, a pizza parlor, and becoming an Upper East Side nanny. Her later return to school to study music led her to remote life and work abroad in Spain as an English teacher, and later a career as an audio book narrator.
