This week, I am 80% happy for the success of writer and comedian Gearoid Farrelly. Not long into his comedy career, he was a finalist in the 2008 'So You Think You're Funny' competition finals whose past winners include Dylan Moran and Tommy Tiernan. That same year he won the 'Bulmers 'Nuthin Butt Funny Newcomer' competition at the Bulmers festival in Dublin. He has supported Tommy Tiernan and Jason Byrne, toured with Neil Delamere, Maeve Higgins and PJ Gallagher and in 2012 was chosen by living comedy legend Ms. Joan Rivers to play support on dates of her 'Now or Never' tour.
