Today’s guest is Martasia Carter. Martasia is a senior pursuing a double major in Public Health and Political Science. Martasia went into undergrad thinking she wanted to be a pharmacist, but after completing various internships and placing well in a research competition, Martasia affirmed her interest in the field of public health, specifically in maternal and child health policy. After completing her undergrad degree, Martasia hopes to get her Master’s in Public Health and then go on to complete her PhD. Picking the right major and finding the right internship opportunity can feel so overwhelming at times, that when it comes to setting goals for our future, we can easily feel lost in the chaos of it all. Setting goals is not about sticking to an exact plan, but rather about being strategic and intentional about how we are spending our time in the present. Martasia is here to teach us about how setting goals for ourselves in our undergraduate years will set us up for the best possible success in the future.
