Why in a world of DIY, would someone hire a #smarthome professional? 

On my daily commute across this great city of Houston I see offerings for all types of professional services that someone could do themselves. 

I read a quote online and it said, "If you think it's expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur". There's a lot to be said for that.
