In this week’s episode I sit down with Jessica Gallant. Jessica Gallant is a songwriter and actress who played Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables at the Charlottetown Festival for their 2015 and 2016 seasons. In our conversation today we discuss how theatre was introduced to her growing up on Prince Edward Island, how growing up playing sports has helped her in her theatre career, as well as the things she learnt from her time training at Sheridan College. We also discuss her experiences playing Anne Shirley at the Charlottetown Festival, her experiences writing and producing her own self-titled EP, and where she hopes to see theatre in Canada headed in the future.
