80 - Reaching THE END of The First Draft
In this episode I’m sharing the experience of seeing the light at the end of the first draft tunnel and writing those last 20,000 words to reach The End.
It was a relief, an “oh my gosh, I’m almost there!” moment. I braced myself. I still had to keep doing exactly what I’d already done for almost two years and 130,000 words.
It got closer. And yet, I still had to show up and write 1000 words each day, letting the days pass and the words add up. It became bittersweet. I didn’t want it to end.
And then, inevitably, I wrote the last words.
