Sherri Be started her acting career in her hometown of Chicago, Il., as a youth. Her earliest memory of performing was when she starred in a school play called "Baby Bunnies" in the second grade. She remembers receiving a standing ovation after screaming her line "Stop that noise!" That's when she knew acting was it for her. Soon after, her mother enrolled her in dance classes, the church choir and she even took modeling classes after her mother. Sherri Be was on her way to becoming an all around performer.

Sherri Be joined the Chicago Fire Team in 2012 and worked there while the Chicago film industry grew. As the opportunities came in for independent projects, she was often upgraded to "featured" performer. After working as a background talent and getting familiar with the local producers and casting directors, Sherri Be decided to take the leap of faith and take her talents to tinsel town, Hollywood, California. She resigned from her full time job as a public school counselor, shipped her car and caught a flight to California with no where to go. As a direct result, Sherri Be slept in her car for over a year while showering at the faithful, YMCA in Hollywood.
