The Doc is called in to treat a patient with what appears to be a relatively standard set of symptoms but the initial treatment doesn't solve the issue and the case gets progressively more complicated with each passing day.  Other doctors are consulted and treatments considered as this seemingly common case becomes highly unusual and difficult to solve.
