The record was 1-250, the one being in 2018 when Maryland-Baltimore County were the first 15 seed to knock out the then overall Number 1 seed in Virginia. On Friday night March 17 at the East Regional in Columbus, Ohio saw more history. The FDU Knights were quicker, they were more aggressive, and completely shut down Zach Edey of Purdue for the last 9 minutes. The historic upset with a final score of 63-58 will be remembered forever, as the Retrievers are no longer alone.
