Cynthia Siess Krikpatrick is the 2nd recipient of a Supermom Shoutout to end up being a guest on the podcast. The first was Genny Jesse and her Supermom Shoutout was featured in Episode 72: How Work-Life Balance Can Be Obtained with Cherylanne Skolnicki.
Then, Genny joined Jill Devine on Episode 77: Keeping Her Daughters Legacy Alive Through Acts Of Kindness.
Cynthia and Jill went to college together at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. The two have continued to grow their friendship with one another, but lately they have really bonded over being working moms and wanting to support other moms who are feeling the strain of trying to manage it all. In addition, the two women are trying to preach the importance of a positive mindset, along with the self-care needed to keep that mindset intact.
Here are some of the things you will hear in this week’s episode:
*Self-care advice from Episode 68: Taking Care Of Your Postpartum Mind And Body with Jamie Kocher
*Paying other women compliments
*The true definition of an introvert
*Handwritten thank you notes
*You can’t make up someone else’s story
*Making a difference in one person’s life and in your own life
*You can’t start unless you start
*Share positivity across all platforms of your life
*A year+ running journey
*Contributing to the book, “Owning Your G.R.I.T.: 40 Women’s Stories of Harnessing the Power of Growth, Resilience, Intention, and Tenacity”
*Her professional life as a Moneta Group Advisor
Jill would like to acknowledge and recognize the hard work moms put in on the daily. It can be a thankless job at times, and Jill wants these moms to know their worth, so she created the Supermom Shoutout, brought to you by Addy’s Way. Each recipient will receive a custom designed Supermom t-shirt from Addy’s Way, in addition to the Shoutout. This week’s Supermom Shoutout goes to Meg of Shorewood, Illinois. Her friend, Sandhya, nominated her and said:
Meg is a very busy businesswoman, but I really love the way she handles her day-to-day life and making sure everything is done at the best way for her adorable twins Stella and Sophia. No matter how busy her schedule is, she makes a point to patiently get everything done the way her kids want. She has this amazing energy throughout the day, no matter how exhausting her schedule is. Every day I see her, and she always has this amazing smile that brightens my day and pushes me to believe anything is possible. For me… she’s more than a Supermom.
Meg - YOU are seen and YOU are supported!
