Nearly 400 homes in Milwaukee have been purchased by only 3 out of state and investment groups. Must be because Milwaukee was rated #1 in fixer upper homes and the price is right. But the homes aren’t being purchased by anyone who lives here and that’s a problem. ACTS Housing has a plan to make sure as many homes in the city are purchases by people in the city with a new acquisition fund to fully combat the investor-landlord purchasing in Milwaukee. It’s not that the city doesn’t want people coming into the area, the people just want to know that whoever is coming here will be making an effort to grow Milwaukee for the better not for profit.
