In this episode, host (driver) Nadine of 818 Events is joined by Miguel Pink aka. Migz Papi aka. Coach Miguel aka. #MoveWithMigz of #MeVersusMeMentality. We explore the Me Versus Me mindset and ever-growing community that has formed surrounding Miguel in the last year and a half. The main message? We all start somewhere. "Fall down 7 times, stand up 8" - ironically is the most appropriate quote for episode 8.
Nadine has been doing boxing workouts with Miguel and has taken a person dive into the Me Versus Me mentality - it's not something to overlook. On this episode, Miguel shares a little about his past lifestyle, and how he got from there to here. He reminds listeners to trust the process. He's formed an entire Me Versus Me community of like-minded individuals who are determined to push themselves always a bit more than they did the day before. He tells us about his journey, his losses (impressive ones), and his wins (also impressive), as well as what it means to "get your 30 in"! We also explored what it means to maintain the mindset of knowing it's you versus you, but also the benefits of having a solid community behind you to get your ass in gear when the going gets tough.
With that being said, this episode focuses on taking a cold hard look at what you're pursuing, knowing it's on YOU, and you alone, to achieve it, and overcoming the obstacles and excuses preventing you from doing so. Miguel and Nadine even expose that they do some serious self-talk when they feel themselves slipping.
