Hey guys! I was fortunate enough to see a pre-screening of Do No Harm: Exposing the Hippocratic Hoax this week! This was a very powerful film on the physician suicide epidemic. Doctors kill themselves twice the average of the normal population; we need to understand the underpinnings of that statistic. We need to understand the conditions that cause people to feel such despair that they feel suicide is their only option.
The film did a great job highlighting the issues that lead doctors to feel this way including academic pressure, financial stressors, competition, hazing, pimping, sleep deprivation, and more. I really enjoyed the film and think you should check it out as well! You can request a screening of the film at your hospital, organization, or medical school by clicking on the screenings tab of the website: www.donoharmfilm.com
