During the summer of 2021 I remember being pulled into a Twitter space where the discussion was around an NFT project called Fame Ladies Squad that was being taken over by the community from Russian men posing as the women founders.   Fast-forward a couple months later while co-hosting Social Fresh's: NFT Fresh Virtual Event I was introduced to @IamBoredBecky aka Ashley and within minutes of hearing her story and commitment to this community I had to add a FameLadiesSquad NFT to my collection.

In this interview, I discuss with Ashley her journey from buying a VeeFriends to not having enough ETH at the time to buy another so ended up buying a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT. 

Ashley shares the story of the Fame Ladies community takeover with her 2 co-leaders @NFTIgnition and DATA_NFT and how much work was required as they weren’t given access to the funds or the discord or even the smart contract which only happened thanks to the voice of ArtChick on NFT Twitter. We discuss some upcoming plans and collaborations in the works for Fame Ladies Squad and a look back over the last 6 months on what all has happened not only within the NFT project but for the NFT community as a whole.
