Open the door, or not to open the door.  If we are unsure, how do we know if it is the Will of God to open it or not?  We pray and the door presents itself.  Opening the door takes us to another place. There may be many other doors within.  

If we enter with our mind set on that which we are seeking, we may miss what God has for us.  If we open the door to the hotel and begin to open the first door within, it may be that which we seek or the restroom.  

God knows what we desire, however, more importantly, he knows what we Need.  After we open a door, do we grasp the first thing we find or do we thank him and seek where to go from there.  If your desire is to do his will, the Holy Spirit will guide us to the true and perfect Will of God.  If it happens to Not be his will, the Spirit will lead you to the Exit.
