Spending in the path of Allah is a great gift. A beautiful example of rain falling on a fertile hill is given in these verses of Sura al-Baqara. The garden doubles its produce if heavy rain falls, but even a drizzle is sufficient. When you donate your wealth solely seeking the pleasure of Allah, you will have your reward multiplied whether you spend a little or a lot.
