On this episode I take the time to question my own dating experiences and setbacks patriarchal norms have imposed on me and how I connect these experiences with living in Brighton Park. A few key definitions to know for this episode: 

Patriarchy: a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it

Microaggression: a statement, action, or incident regarded as an instance of indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a marginalized group

Power Dynamic: the relative levels of power of two or more people/groups impact their interactions with one another
